Modern public architecture in town center
Kankaanpää is quite a new town which planning has been strongly inspired by the barren terrain surrounding the town. The geographical frames donated by nature have been combined with the traditional industry of bricks just creating little by little this town with a small help of planning.
The modern architecture with its clear and plain lines forms an interesting visual context of town. We are continuously completing the town with works of art and green areas.
We have given a special weight for good town planning and architectural values. Since 1960’s Architects Heikki ja Kaija Siren have designed many of our public buildings.
The city planning realized in Kankaanpää has been rewarded for its quality with an important recognition, too. (SAFA-reward)
